Wannabee Club Scholarships

One of the primary missions of the Wannabee Hobby Beekeepers Club is to promote beekeeping to the Black Hills youth, and adult educators who have programs to introduce the youth to beekeeping. The Club funds up to three, yearly scholarships, primarily for the purchase of bees, to help fund the apiary of aspiring beekeepers. The Club periodically receives donations of bee equipment, and may decide to distribute items to applicants or past scholarship winners, depending on experience, and need.

Club Process

• The Club will elect a Scholarship Committee, by the December Club meeting, each year. The Committee will consist of four Club members,
with at least one Board member.
• The Secretary of the Club, will solicit scholarship applications through the Club members, local youth clubs and via social media.
• Applications will be due by the third week of February, and may be mailed to:

    ◦ Resa Combs
    ◦ 8040 Bighorn Rd
